I've always wanted to do this.
I've tried it once or twice before... but for whatever reason, never went past a few burns or colors.
I found the cutest hippie, boho shop a while back - which had the best deco I've seen in a while.
I adored it.
In one corner, they had a set up that included something similar to this. Although their piece, was much more aged. It was such an intruiging detail to the simplicity that surrounded it.
It prompted me to start my own.
Here are the results after several burns.

Since these pictures it has gotten even better! I love that the older it gets, and the more it's used - the better it looks!
