Sweetwater

A few months back I drove through Sweetwater, TX. 

It was a beautiful day, the sky was absolutely amazing... so it was nice to snap some photos of the endless windmills the city has to generate wind power.

It's pretty wild to see all of them. You don't realize how HUGE those windmills are until you get up close, or witness a truck driving a replacement sail down the highway...

Oh, this place.

While it's always full of unique characters... I've managed to make a lot of really great memories. 

Had my first two stepping experience, and learned some country line dances.

The Wet Brush

After our stylist gave her permission to use The Wet Brush, my mom kept raving about it to me...

Now, we never use anything but wide tooth combs on our hair - so when she kept telling me about it I resisted for a while... especially because I had seen many ads and reviews on these "tangle teezers" and knock offs like it. 

Needless to say, I finally caved and made the purchase. 

Surprisingly, I like this brush. It's definitely not like most brushes and works really well for those occasions where your hair is just a bit more tangled and ratty than usual.

Worth the buy, I'm glad I got it.

Hair Halo

The first year I was in Texas, I went to a trade show.

Out of the few items I picked up, one was a hair halo. 

I've found this little hair tool quite useful... and really a great idea. 

You can pull it up tight, or a bit more loose depending on the look you want.

(the picture above was pretty tight, as my hair was wet - I was creating curls)

You can create smaller or larger curls/wraps which will make the look different also.

I like to wrap my hair when it's wet, and when I take it down - it makes for beautiful, easy curls!

Other times, I just wrap it up softly for a more boho vibe.

Christmas Eve Throwback

Before we flew to Michigan, we spent Christmas Eve with the babes family. 

We did a little bit of late Christmas shopping, then grabbed lunch before dedicating the rest of the evening to family.

This week is another one spent away for a work trip. 

I will be gone this week until Friday.

I come home for one week... then I leave again for another week. 

The second trip however, is for pleasure. It's a big birthday this year for me... so I took a vacation to celebrate! 

So happy!!!

It had a customized plate on it so it took a while to come in but... finally - it arrived!!

Tahquamenon Falls

Over break, one of the things we did was drive about an hour and a half north of my aunts house in St. Ignace and visit Tahquamenon Falls.

We only went to the upper falls, because it was a legit blizzard, but they were beautiful. I think the huge snowflakes and chilly afternoon made it that much more amazing. 

We walked the short half mile hand in hand while bundled up, laughing, and teasing like toddlers.

After the walk and pictures, we ate lunch at the the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery & Pub, and tried the local brews. It was a great lunch, and a wonderful afternoon with loved ones. <3

Valentines Day

This year for Valentines Day babydoll surprised me BIGTIME.

The weekend started on Friday when we met up for a few drinks after work, where he gave me the most wonderful news about our newest upcoming adventure...

Then, I had to hold back tears when he generously handed me the gifts he so thoughtfully got me...

I had been talking about this perfume for months... it's my favorite right now <3

The big jambox (in white, of course) was perfect!

Saturday night started at my favorite wine bar, where we shared a bottle and ran into some friends. Then he spoiled me with a delicious dinner at a brazilian steakhouse.

It was such a wonderful weekend... I never wanted it to end!! <3

Big Sexy Hair

I hadn't repurchased my normal Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play in a while, but I was glad I did. 

I have the Root Pump Plus,  which works great - and ever since high School I've loved the Hairspray.

This time, I also decided to try their thickening spray Get Layered (which I love now).

They really do have great products if you're looking for big, sexy hair ;-P
